摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a molded item exhibiting isotropically high rigidity, having excellent heat resistance and being capable of heat treatment and mechanical treatment, by molding a polyester having easily crosslinkable diacetylene groups in its polymer main chain. CONSTITUTION:A molded item is obtd. by molding a polyester contg. diacetylene groups of formula I (wherein Y1 and Y2 are each a 1-12C monovalent org. group, halogen and H; Z1 and Z2 are each a 1-2C divalent org. group; n is an integer of 2 or larger). The polyester of formula I is prepd. by means of low-temp. soln. polycondensation, interfacial polycondensation and the like of a diacetylene group-contg. dicarboxylic acid deriv. of formula II (wherein X is halogen or OH; Y1 and Y2 are as defined above) and a diol of formula III (wherein Z is as defined above). This molded item exhibits high elastic modulus, has excellent heat resistance and, if necessary, is capable of heat treatment and mechanical treatment such as machining or cutting and is therefore useful for a material for parts where high performance is required such as precision mechanical components, electronic materials, etc.
