PURPOSE:To prevent the malfunction of anti-skid control device due to an error happening in measuring wheel speed by measuring the wheel speed, and strictly establishing conditions for beginning anti-skid control according to the above measured speed. CONSTITUTION:Each of wheel speed sensors 1-1-1-N detects the rotating speed of each of wheels A1-AN as the period of a pulse signal which is measured on counting circuits 2-1-2-N for the pulse period to calculate the each wheel speed. The each calculated wheel speed is notified one by one through a control part 5 to a means 3 for altering conditions for beginning anti-skid control. According as the said speed becomes faster, it is executed to more strictly establish conditions for judging that deceleration calculated from the said speed has continued for a time longer than a fixed time, and a point at which reference wheel speed intersects the said speed is determined.
