摘要

PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of the voltage-resisting performance of a connecting portion by a method wherein an insulating substance for joint, an edging unit and an outer conductive layer are integrated in a cross-linked state in the vicinity of the melting point thereof so as to prevent the formation of an outer projection on the insulating substance for joint. CONSTITUTION:A part of the outer peripheral surface of each of cables 1A and 1B, the outer peripheral surface of an insulating substance 3 for joint and a part of the outer peripheral surface of an edging unit 4 are covered with an outer conductive layer 5. In order to put the insulating substance 3, the unit 4 and the conductive layer 5 in a cross-linked state, the whole of the connecting portion thereof is heated so that a temperature is increased gradually. Then, the insulating substance 3 is softened in the vicinity of the melting point and fluidized under the pressure on a boundary surface, and a projection 3a of the insulating substance 3 is formed between the conductive layer 5 and the unit 4 reversely to a projection 5a of the outer conductive layer 5. Thereby the deterioration of the voltage-resisting performance of the connecting portion of conductors 1a and 1b of the cables 1A and 1B is prevented.
