PURPOSE:To provide a flux core wire of titania base for the gas-shielded arc welding where the amount of the fume to be generated is small. CONSTITUTION:In a flux cored wire of titania base where the flux is packed by the outer shell made of mild steel, the outer shell made of mild steel composed of the steel which contains, by weight, $0.02% C, 0.01-0.20% Ti, and 0.01-0.15% Al, and satisfies the relationship of Ti/c=1.0, and Al/C=1.5, and the flux is of the titania base where 1.00-8.50% TiO2, and 0.01-1.50% oxide of the alkali metal (in terms of metallic element) are contained, and further 0.50-3.60% Mn (including the amount of Mn in the outer shell) and 0.10-1.50% Si (including the amount of Si in the outer skin) are contained. 0.01-1.00% Mg and/or MgO (conversion value to Mn) and/or =0.06% C at the ratio to the total weight of the wire may be added.
