PURPOSE: To prevent powder/grain from colliding directly with the inner wall of a bent pipe so as to suppress wear and thereby to enable the long-term use of the bent pipe by providing a compressed gas injecting means at a part with which the powder/grain collides in the bent pipe for transferring the powder/grain. ;CONSTITUTION: The upper reaches end part of an outer part A in the radius-of- curvature of a bent part where ash collides with the pipe inner surface in a bent pipe 1 is provided with a compressed air injection nozzle 2 connected to a compressed air source. The tip 2a of this nozzle 2 is opened to a part in the circumferential direction of the bent pipe 1. The ash transferred by air in the direction of an arrow mark (a) thereby collides with an air layer 5 first so as to be transported downstream along the flow of compressed air. The ash is therefore prevented from colliding directly with the inner wall of the part A of the bent pipe 1. As a result, there is no wearing part in the bent pipe 1, so that the bent pipe 1 can be used over a long period of time.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
