PURPOSE:To allow the casting of a Ti material in an ideal state without deteriorating the material by melting the Ti material in a vacuum chamber in a high frequency floating state without using a crucible and casting the melt thereof into a casting mold. CONSTITUTION:A high-frequency coil 5 for floating melting is mounted into the vacuum chamber 3 and a setting base 6 set with a Ti or Ti alloy ingot 4 is inserted into the coil 5. A prescribed atmosphere is maintained at need in the vacuum chamber 3 by using a vacuum discharge port 11 and an atmosphere gas introducing port 14. A high-frequency electric power is then supplied to the coil 5 to float the ingot 4 and the setting base 6 is retreated to drop the molten ingot 4 into a molten metal guide 9 set in a casting mold receiving base 7 installed in the lower part. The casting mold receiving base 7 and the molten metal guide 9 are rotated together with a balancer 10 in an arrow direction by a driving section 12 and, therefore, the molten metal dropped into the molten metal guide 9 is cast by centrifugal force into the casting mold 8.
