PURPOSE:To measure the intensity distribution of laser beams whose output is modulated by modulating and oscillating laser with a signal obtained by adding a certain delay time to a signal which is synchronized to the movement period of a detection part. CONSTITUTION:A measuring instrument (detection part) 1 with a pin hole (or slit) 2 rotating (or moving) speedily is connected to an analysis system device 3 with a computer via a data transmission system. A pulse generator 4 adds a signal obtained by adding a certain delay time to a signal which is synchronized to the rotary period of the pin hole 2 to a laser device (beam generation/ control device) 5, thus modulating and oscillating laser. Namely, since laser is oscillated by a signal where a certain delay time is added for synchronizing to the movement of the measuring instrument 1, the beam at a certain time position with modulated and repeated units can be constantly measured, thus measuring various types of amount of laser beam which is modulated repeatedly including power density distribution and beam diameter.
