METHOD FOR PROMOTING ROOTING OF CULTURE SHOOT IN PLANT OF GENUS RHODODENDRON

PURPOSE: To obtain a method for promoting rooting of culture shoot in a plant of the genus Rhododendron. ;CONSTITUTION: A tissue piece of shoot apex of a plant of the genus Rhododendron is cultured in a medium containing an auxin-based plant hormone and a cytokinin-based plant hormone and a shoot apex part is aseptically grown to afford a shoot having no root and then this shoot is transplanted into a medium containing both plant hormones to culture the shoot and a leaf removed from the base part of this shoot is dipped in a auxin-based plant hormone solution and then, transplanted to a bed soil for rooting to root the leaf.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
