PURPOSE: To satisfactorily introduce the pressure fluctuation by the spontaneous respiration of lungs into a pressure detecting mechanism, precisely detect the pressure fluctuation, and improve the artificial respiratory action by connecting the pressure detecting mechanism to a pressure guide passage pipe, and arranging a pressure guide hole at the branch section of a bronchial tube. ;CONSTITUTION: An artificial respiratory organ 12 assisting the spontaneous respiration of lungs 4 of a patient 2 is provided with an inspiration mechanism 16, an expiration mechanism 18, a pressure detecting mechanism 20, and a control mechanism 22 in a main body 14. The inspiration mechanism 16 and the expiration mechanism 18 are separately connected to an inspiration passage pipe 24 and an expiration passage pipe 26 at one end, and the other ends are connected to one end of a respiration passage pipe 28. The other end of the respiration passage pipe 28 is inserted into a trachea 6, and a respiration hole 30 is arranged at the branch section 10 of a bronchial tube 8. One end of a pressure guide passage pipe 32 is connected to the pressure detecting mechanism 20.
