MANUFACTURE OF CONTAINER WITH SHRIKABLE LABEL

PURPOSE:To paste windingly a label firmly at a preset position of a container, by making the label heat-shrinkable under a condition where the peripheral part of the label is held by bending a flange, which has been formed at the opening of a thermoplastic resin container, to the sleeve shaped label side, which is made of a foamed resin sheet which heat-shrinks in one axial direction. CONSTITUTION:The end surfaces of a flat plate shaped label 1, which is made of a foamed resin sheet which heat-shrinks in one axial direction, are joined to form a joined part 1a; and a sleeve shaped label 1 is formed. Then inside the label 1, a container 2, which is formed by a thermoplastic resin, is inserted until the end surface of the label 1 comes into contact with a flange 2a. After the insertion, the flange 2a of the container 2 is bent by external force until the flange 2a holds the label, or the flange 2a is bent by external force before the label 1 is inserted. When the container 2 is put in a stove and is made to heat-shrink under the condition where the label 1 is being held by the flange 2a of the container 2, position slip, etc., of the label at the time of heat-shrinking does not generate; and the label 1 is wound and pasted at a predetermined position on the outer peripheral wall surface of the container 2.
