CURABLE PASTE AGENT FOR FILLING ROOT CANAL

摘要

PURPOSE:The titled paste, consisting of the first material containing hydroxyapatite, calcium hydroxide and X-ray contrast medium and the second material consisting essentially of guaiacol and eugenol, having improved affinity for living body tissues, and useful for dental treatment. CONSTITUTION:A curable paste agent for filling root obtained by incorporating the first material prepared by incorporating 40-60wt%, based on the total weight of the first material, hydroxyapatite with 15-20wt%, based on the total weight of the first material, calcium hydroxide, and further incorporating an X- ray contrast medium, e.g. iodoform, barium sulfate, bismuth subcarbonate, silver powder, etc. with the second material consisting essentially of guaiacol and eugenol, and used by mixing the first material with the second material preferably at 3:1 weight ratio. The above-mentioned paste agent exhibits improved effect as follows. The agent has low irritation to tissues due to the above- mentioned characteristics, and aids the cure of the peripheral tissues of the root end parts when filled into the root canal. The closing mechanism of the root end parts can be finally expected, etc.
