PURPOSE: To provide a method for manufacturing an ecomonical one-piece forged wheel, which is quipped with improved durability and reduced weight through extrusion, forging and rolling processes from a single piece of metal stock, and the one-piece forged wheel. ;CONSTITUTION: The wheel is manufactured as a result of forming a material so as to comprise the one-piece wheel into a blank 10 in the form of a ring or a doughnut and is formed to have an inner radial surface and an outer radial surface. While the inner radial surface is being restrained, a rim part 20 of the one-piece wheel is extruded to a desired length coaxially with the blank 10, is then trimmed, restraint tooling against the inner radial surface is transferred and a hub part 22 of the one-piece wheel is extruded to a desired configuration in accordance with the configuration of a die, whereby an arbitrary ornamental contours are forge-delineated in a peripheral zone 28 between the rim part 20 and a fitting surface 26 surrounding a hub opening 24.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
