PURPOSE: To aim at space-saving and simplification of a program, by detecting wear of a tool tip and so on by providing a tool point position measuring device on the turret of a turret tool post in a numerically controlled lathe and making the device possible to be exchanged with other auxiliary means or detecting means. ;CONSTITUTION: In the turret tool post of a numerically controlled lathe equipped with a turret 6 having a clamp face 7a for plural tool holders, to which plural tool holders can be attached, a tool point position measuring device 51 which detects the point position of a tool 50 by a sensor terminal 55 is provided on the clamp face 7a for the tool holders and electric connection terminal means (52, 53, 54), which transmit signals detected by the sensor terminal 55 to a control unit, are provided in the turret 6.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
