METHOD FOR GENERATING DICTIONARY FOR DISCRIMINATION

摘要

PURPOSE: To generate a dictionary with a high recognition rate for the dictionary generating method for shape recognition such as handwritten character recognition. ;CONSTITUTION: From shape patterns for learning, (n) pieces of feature data are extracted and regarded as position coordinates in an n-dimensional feature space and the distributions of all shape patterns for learning belonging to shape kinds in the n-dimensional feature space are found by shape kinds. The distribution space is divided into a grid shape and the number of shape patterns for learning which belong to each divided area is counted; when the number is larger than a threshold value, a dictionary is generated from the shape pattern for learning in the area.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
