CONTROLLER FOR JUDGING PLANT QUALITY AND METHOD FOR TOTALIZING AREA FOR THE JUDGING

PURPOSE: To monitor the growth status of seedlings in a tray and the empty part of the tray easily by imaging the growth state of the seedlings in the tray and then comparing the image data with discrimination reference data which are stored previously. ;CONSTITUTION: The growth state of the seedlings in a seedling tray 11 is imaged by a color camera 15 and the image data are taken into a seedling discrimination control part 16 and then are stored in a color image data storage means in a specific order. Then, the seedling discrimination means of the control part 16 reads out the color image data for each of plug tray units in the seedling tray 11 in a specific order from the storage means, compares them with the discrimination reference data which are stored previously, and then determines a conforming seedling 12, a non-conforming seedling 12, and an empty part 14 of the tray 11. Then, when the judgment of the seedling of one tray 11 is completed, a display control means reads out the discrimination result data and then displays them on a display 17. Also, the number of transplanted seedlings corresponding to the non-conforming seedlings 13 and the empty part 14 are output by an audio generation means 20 and is reported to a manufacturer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
