PURPOSE: To display various time quantities with the same display needle and arrange a gem ornament at an opening section by controlling the position of the time display needle using disk-like piezoelectric elements with a microcomputer. ;CONSTITUTION: A gem 1 is set at the center. Disk-like piezoelectric ceramics 2, 3 are inserted into an outside case 7 and fixed by springs 81, 82 of a contact substrate 8, and time is displayed as an electrostrictive revolution piece type motor. The quartz of a circuit substrate 9 is excited by a Li battery 10, the piezoelectric disk 2 is rotated by 6°/min, and the minute is displayed by a minute hand 4 drawn on the disk 2. An hour hand 5 is connected to the piezoelectric disk 3, and it is rotated by 6°/12min to indicate the hour. Positional relations with 60 contacts on the disks 2, 3 are confirmed by contact springs 81-83, 81'-83' on the substrate 8, and the hour hand and the minute hand are rotated to positions displaying the preset time respectively by control signals of a microcomputer. The dial reading the time is drawn on the back face of a cover lens 6.
