PURPOSE:To easily and efficiently form a composite material by immobilizing a superfine gold particle uniformly and firmly on a titanium oxide carrier. CONSTITUTION:An aq. gold compd. soln. is dripped into an aq. soln. contg. titanium oxide as the essential component and kept at pH 7-11 while maintaining the pH range, the metal oxide is heated to 100-800 deg.C, and an oxide, on which superfine gold particles are immobilized, is obtained.
