PURPOSE: To make it possible to easily change/update the program of a mobile station when the service of a system is updated by extracting the program of the mobile station that a base station superposes on notifying information and transmits by the mobile station and writing the program in the program memory at a station in use, ;CONSTITUTION: A CPU 4 controls the whole of a mobile station in accordance with the basic operation program which is preliminarily stored in the ROM of a storage part 5 for program. A radio/radio control part 1 and a TDMA/ channel CODEC part 2 perform a perch scanning, set a frequency and read the program update information in the notifying information from a base station. The mobile station updates the programs of a storage part 6 for program such as EEPROM, etc., by this update information, and when the update is rightly terminated, the mobile station displays the update termination on an LCD, etc., and shifts to a normal waiting operation. Thus, the changes and additions of various kinds of services are generated in a system, the changes and updates of the program of the mobile station can be easily performed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
