PURPOSE: To conquer the limitation of conference speaking, for which the number of subscribed speakers is limited since the clearness of voice signals is lowered when the number of subscribed speakers is increased, by a prefetch measuring function. ;CONSTITUTION: The apparent limitation of the number of the subscribers is eliminated by selecting a telephone set to be added by a conference speaking trunk while providing the prefetch measuring function on the exchange. A VOX circuit 11 housed in a subscriber trunk 36 converts voice signals from respective telephone sets 9A-9C to speaking request signals, a prefetch decision circuit 14 housed in a prefetch decision trunk 10b selects (n) pieces of signals out of these speaking request signals in the order of arrival, the sending line of the telephone set corresponding to the (n) pieces of selected signals is selected by a TSW 2 and connected to a voice adder 4, and the output is transmitted to all the telephone sets. Thus, the apparent limitation in the number of subscribers to be participated in conference speaking is eliminated by providing the prefetch measuring function.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
