PURPOSE: To place underwater concrete in a good condition by detecting the covering depth L of a tremie pipe correctly. ;CONSTITUTION: A specific gravity adjusting weight 15, the weight of which can be freely adjusted, is provided on a float 11 where a guide hole 11 engaged with the outer periphery of a tremie pipe 5 is formed in such a manner that the specific gravity of the float can be set lighter than the specific gravity of underwater concrete to be placed and heavier than the specific gravity of slurry to be used. A covering depth detecting device 12 having a wire 13 which can be freely drawn and stored is provided in such a manner as to detect the draw length S of the wire.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
