PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater concrete placing method which can smoothly and easily place high-quality concrete in a manner producing not so large difference in height of concrete-placed surfaces of a plurality of independent chambers in an underwater structure and in a manner causing no underwater fall of concrete, and to provide an underwater concrete placing apparatus for use in the method.;SOLUTION: According to the method, a concrete-pouring pipe 22 having a bottom cover 21 for being opened/closed by a cylinder 35 is provided, and concrete 44 is fed into the concrete-pouring pipe 22 over the water, followed by inserting the concrete-pouring pipe 22 into one of the chambers (a) in a double sheet-pile wall 7 as the underwater structure. Then, the bottom cover 21 is opened, and a specified quantity of concrete is poured into the chamber (a) while the concrete-pouring pipe 22 is being elevated. In this manner, the cycle of the above procedures is repeatedly carried out for each chamber in the double sheet-pile wall 7, whereby a required quantity of concrete is placed in the double sheet-pile wall 7.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
