METHOD FOR SETTING NOZZLE BRICK INTO NOZZLE TUYERE BRICK

PURPOSE: To provide a method for setting a nozzle brick into a nozzle tuyere brick wherein the nozzle brick which is used in a mechanism for discharging molten metal from the bottom of a molten metal containner is attached or detached easily. ;CONSTITUTION: A graphite sheet 2 is wrapped around a part or the whole of the outer periphery of a nozzle brick 1. Thereafter fireproof mortar 3 is applied onto the sheet 2. And the brick 1 is inserted into a nozzle tuyere brick 4 to set the brick 1 at a predetermined position. The nozzle can be drawn out in a much shorter time than in a conventional manner. As a result, work required for removing the nozzle brick 1 remaining in the brick 4 by means of a breaker can be reduced and hence the inner surface of the brick 4 is not damaged and a lowering of durability of the brick 4 is pevented, thereby improving working environment of operators.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
