METHOD FOR PREVENTING OUT-OF-PLANT OUTFLOW OF LEACHING WATER BY MAINTAINING DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE OF GROUND WATER

PURPOSE: To provide the method for preventing out-of-plant outflow of the leaching water in a final disposal plant by maintaining the differential pressure of the ground water capable of safely storing the leaching water without flowing out outside. ;CONSTITUTION: Plural monitor holes 8 are dug around the final disposal plant 1 buried under the ground and differential pressure gages 9 are installed in these monitor holes 8 to detect the changes in the ground water level (h). The bottom 4 of the waste layer (a) in the final disposal plant 1 is provided with drain pipes 7 or an intake port of a lifting pump 10 so that the leaching water is properly discharged to storage facilities outside the plant in linkage with the detection of the negative pressure of the ground water level (h) with respect to the in-plant level H.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
