DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRINTING FULL FRAME PHOTOGRAPH AND PANORAMIC PHOTOGRAPH

PURPOSE: To provide a photographic printing device for processing the prints from a film rolls, including bath types of negative images selectively exposed in a full frame type and a panoramic type. ;CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a printing station 16 for selectively receiving the exposed negative image from the film roll, and a constitution for electrooptically deciding the density of each negative image inside the station on numerous detecting spots on the negative image. A type status-deciding means 38 responds to the density of the negative image on the various kinds of detection spots, and decides which type image is included in the negative image or whether the negative image is a blank or entirely foggy. When the specified negative image on the station is decided to include a full frame image, the printing device forms the print in the full-frame type, and when the specified negative image is decided to include the panoramic image, a panoramic type print is formed. On the other hand, when the negative image is decided to be the blank or entirely foggy, the device carries the negative image out of the station without forming the print.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
