METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETECTING ROAD TRAFFIC ABNORMALITY AND ROAD TRAFFIC ABNORMALITY MONITORING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: To automatically detect the group abnormal travelling (such as avoiding obstacles on the road) and the abnormal travelling of each vehicle such as driving in a zigzag line. ;CONSTITUTION: A background picture (g102) is removed from a traffic flow picture (g103) in the measurement area of a vehicle travelling lane and a vehicle picture is extracted (s104) and the coordinates of the vehicle (left, center, and right) are obtained (s105). According to each section in the road width direction of the area, the frequency of the coordinate distribution is obtained by vehicles and the number of vehicles passing in the constant period is accumulated. The accumulation frequency is normalized by the number of passed-by vehicles and the travelling position spector of the vehicle is obtained (s107). The spector is displayed in space by areas or in the order of area.
