PURPOSE: To obtain a chirp-pulse compression and tracking radar apparatus wherein, even when a reflected signal from a target is Doppler-shifted, a pulse compression rate by a pulse compression filter is not dropped, a maximum detection distance is not dropped, the detection of another target at a distance close to a target does not become difficult due to the generation of a range-side lobe and a false target is not generated. ;CONSTITUTION: A distributed delay line provided with the distribution time which is longer than a transmitting-pulse width is used for a pulse expansion filter 3, one part of the output of a pulse compression filter 11 is input to a frequency discrimination circuit 17, and the generation timing of an impulse gate is changed by the output voltage of the frequency discrimination circuit 17.
