The present invention relates to a method for increasing tracking accuracy using a radar and an apparatus using the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for increasing tracking accuracy using a radar includes the steps of: transmitting a radio wave using the radar; receiving a reflective wave obtained by reflecting the transmitted radio wave from a tracking target; calculating a distance to the tracking target using the transmitted radio wave and the received reflective wave; estimating a distance of the tracking target using the calculated distance and a previously stored distance; and storing the estimated distance. Accordingly, the present invention can accurately estimate a distance from a surrounding object.
