PURPOSE: To obtain an improved suspension composition having stability to gastric juice and excellent performances of suspending barium sulfate particles and a contract medium of alimentary tract using the composition, being readily administered. ;CONSTITUTION: A suspension composition for contract medium of alimentary tract and contract medium for alimentary tract comprises a mixture of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC for short) having ≥1.30 degree of etherification wherein the weight ratio of CMC having ≤20mpa.s viscosity at 2% aqueous solution and CMC having 1,000-5,000mpa.s viscosity at 2% aqueous solution in the mixture is 80-95:20-5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
