PURPOSE: To advantageously produce larger Mn-Zn-based single crystal ferrite by making growth distance of ferrite single crystal longer effectively in forming single crystal by a solid phase reactional method. ;CONSTITUTION: A Mn-Zn-based single crystal ferrite member is brought into contact with a Mn-Zn-based polycrystalline ferrite member and one sides, a Mn-Zn-based ferrite dummy material in which at least one kind in Fe2O3, MnO and ZnO has the difference of composition more than 2.5mol% to this polycrystalline ferrite member is arranged in close to the surface of this polycrystalline ferrite member with which the single crystal ferrite member is not brought into contact and heated. Thereby, ferrite single crystal of the single crystal ferrite member is grown in the direction of the polycrystal ferrite member to grow the objective ferrite single crystal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
