PURPOSE: To obtain the subject substance having stable color tone with the lapse of time and useful as a filler for artificial marble, etc., required to have high whiteness by coating an inorganic substance with a silane-coupling agent in an atmosphere having low oxygen concentration. ;CONSTITUTION: The objective inorganic substance can be produced by coating an inorganic substance (preferably aluminum hydroxide) with a silane coupling agent in an atmosphere having an oxygen concentration of ≤5%.
