PURPOSE: To make it possible for a user to edit the sequence and effect of each scene easily by a method where a scene file and a control and editing program for controlling and editing the scene file are recorded in a CD-I disk. ;CONSTITUTION: Catalog data 2 called TOC (table of contents) are recorded in a lead-in of the largest circumference of a disk. In this TOC, information as to in which part of the disk a control and editing program area is disposed and in which part a scene file area 4 is disposed, is recorded. Each scene file comprises image data on a scene to be one unit and voice data relating thereto. A control and editing program has direct menu pointers or the like and the direct menu pointers show addresses of scene files respectively.
