VOICE CODING METHOD AND VOICE SYNTHESIS METHOD

PURPOSE: To generate high quality synthetic voice by providing a second pulse and more pulses on top of the conventional single sound source pulse to generate sound source pulses during a synthetic voice generation. ;CONSTITUTION: Parameters are extracted from voice signals and these parameters are outputted as the codes to show the voice signals in lieu of the voice signals. In this circuit, a second pulse level and a generator 30 are provided and the generator 30 makes a second pulse level B so as to generate the second pulse between the pitch gaps detected. That is to say, at the middle position of adjacent sound source pulses defined by a pitch period, the second pulse level, from which one or more than two sound source pulses are obtained, is made using the pitch period and sound source pulse level and four parameters including the second pulse level are outputted as the codes in lieu of the voice signals.
