FIBROUS TRICALCIUM SILICATE HYDRATE AND ITS PRODUCTION

摘要

PURPOSE: To form the long fibrous product by mixing a calcareous raw material with a siliceous raw material, adding MgO and then an alkali metal hydroxide to the mixture and subsequently subjecting the mixture to a hydrothermal reaction under saturated vapor pressure. ;CONSTITUTION: A calcareous raw material such as CaO and a siliceous raw material such as silica are mixed with each other in a CaO/SiO₂ molar ratio of 1.6-4.0. The mixture is mixed with MgO in an amount of 0.5-2.0wt.% based on the whole raw materials and further with the 0.1-8.0 N aqueous solution of an alkali metal hydroxide such as NaOH in an amount of 10-40 times weight based on the whole raw materials. The raw material mixture is charged in an autoclave and subjected to a hydrothermal reaction under a saturated vapor- pressure of 220-300°C for a prescribed time under stirring at a rotation rate of 20rpm. The produced slurry product is filtered, washed with water and subsequently dried to provide the fibrous tricalcium silicate hydrate having a fiber length of ≥1mm.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
