PURPOSE: To retard the change in microstructure due to repetitive stress load, to improve rolling fatigue life, and to prolong the service life of a bearing by specifying respective contents of C, W, O, Si, Mn, Mo, Ni, Cu, etc. ;CONSTITUTION: This bearing steel has a composition consisting of, by weight, 0.5-1.5% C, 0.05-1% W, ≤0.002% O, and the balance Fe or further containing, besides the above, one or more kinds selected from among 0.05-0.5% Si, 0.05-2% Mn, 0.05-0.5% Mo, 0.05-1% Ni, 0.05-1% Cu, 0.0005-0.01% B, 0.005-0.07% Al, and 0.0005-0.012% N. The change in microstructure due to repetitive stress load can be retarded in this bearing steel and rolling fatigue life can be improved, and the service life of a bearing can be prolonged.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
