METHOD FOR THREE-SUPERPOSED BINDING AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PURPOSE: To provide a method and device for three-superposed binding which can automatically form the three-superposed binding by using a sewing machine. ;CONSTITUTION: A sewing device is equipped with a two-needle sewing machine 3a for applying the base sewing which is arranged upstream in the sewing direction, two-needle sewing machine 3b for applying the finishing sewing which is arranged on the downstream side in the sewing direction and has the between- needle distance smaller than that of the two-needle sewing machine 3a, a pair of garment body clamps 17 for holding a garment body cloth 16, and a pair of flap pressings 19 for holding a pair of ball clothes 18 on the garment body cloth 16. Further, the sewing device is equipped with a cloth transferring means which consists of a pair of folding plates for folding back the remote opposed sides 20 of the ball cloth 18 which are opposed each other, in the direction of the sewing position, and shifts the garment body cloth 16 and the ball cloth 18 in the sewing direction along the upper surface of a sewing table 7 and a folding-back binder 9 for folding back the opposed sides of the ball cloth 18 which is sewn in the base seam, in the separation direction before applying the finishing sewing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
