PURPOSE:To support diagnosis in medical care and a medical engineering field and treatment and control based on it by quantitatively holding sorting rules as rule expression represented by probability logic in a disjunctive normal form which is easy to be understood by people and semiautomatically performing a sorting processing based on them. CONSTITUTION:The sorting rules 3000 described in the disjunctive normal form are set in the rule setting part 1008 of a knowledge conversion part 1006. A rule analysis part 1007 defines the index numbers phi and sigma of a probability logic formula in the disjunctive normal form '1' or '0' depending on whether or not a (k)-th remark is included in a (j)-th disjunction or whether or not the (j)-th disjunction is included in an output item. A parameter 2002 obtained in such a manner is set at a parameter part 1002. A probability conversion part 1005 holds the relation between an input probability and a measured value which is a constant value and when the measured value 2000 is obtained, sets a corresponding probability value in the input part 1001 of a sorting part 1000. An output probability calculation part 1003 calculates an output probability 2003 from the parameter 2002 and the input probability 2001.
