摘要

PURPOSE: To miniaturize the title solid laser and increasing the laser beam using efficiency while minimizing the returning beams by a method wherein the title semiconductor exciting solid laser is composed of an exciting semiconductor laser, a spherical lens and a laser medium. ;CONSTITUTION: The wavelength of laser beams can be coincided with the absorption spectrum of a laser medium 24 by temperature-adjusting semiconductor laser LD 22. At this time, one end 24a of the laser medium 24 has the high transmittivity to laser beams so as to be coated for having high reflectance to the solid laser oscillation wavelength. On the other hand, the other end 24b is coated so as to transmit a part of the solid laser oscillation wavelength. Accordingly, the laser beams are focussed on the parts near the ends of the laser medium 24 to excite the laser medium 24 for enhancing the beam power in specific wavelength inside an optical resonator. Furthermore, the returning beams from a spherical lens 23 make a high divergence angle due to the large curvature on the lens surface thereby enabling the returning beams to the exciting LD 22 to be minimized.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
