PURPOSE: To obtain a compound useful as a disperse dye which is useful to color synthetic or semisynthetic hydrophobic high-molecular-weight fibrous materials and can provide dyeing excellent in color fastness to light, heat- settability, etc., by selecting a specified compound. ;CONSTITUTION: A compound represented by formula I [wherein R₁ is a (substituted) 1-18C alkyl, a (substituted) phenyl, a (substituted) 3-6C alkenyl or a (substituted) 3-6C alkynyl; R₂ is an electron-withdrawing substituent, desirably trifluoromethyl, a halogen, monochloromethylformyl, cyano, carboxyl or the like; and K is a residue of a coupling component free from any water solubilizing groups, desirably a residue of a coupling component of a series of aniline, naphthylamine, naphthol, pyridine or oxazole] (e.g. a compound of formula II) is selected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
