PURPOSE: To prevent the blockage of a reductor and diffuser unit for two-stage type coal gassifying furnace due to the adhesion and accumulation of molten slug or char. ;CONSTITUTION: Steam injection nozzles 16 are arranged at a part of a diffuser 5 and a reductor 6 and steam is injected along the surface of a refractory 3 whereby molten slag and/or char adhering to the refractory 31 is separated by the injecting energy of the steam.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
