CONSTRUCTION OF DOMELIKE ROOF

PURPOSE: To reduce mandays on operation and temporary cost, and to improve the safety of operation in a dome-like roof, in which an outer circumferential section is composed of a double layer truss and a central section of a single layer truss. ;CONSTITUTION: A temporary frame base 22 is disposed annularly onto the ground at the central section of a building 12. A double layer truss 16 is constructed to the upper section of the building 12 while the overhanging section of the base 22 is supported by the temporary frame base 22. A single layer truss 18 is built on a ground surface, the outer circumferential section of the truss 18 is lifted up guided by the temporary frame base 22, and the inner circumferential section of the double layer truss 16 and the outer circumferential section of the single layer truss 18 are joined when the outer circumferential section of the truss 18 reaches a fixed position, thus erecting a dome-like roof 10.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
