PURPOSE: To shorten the moving time of a moving shelf so as to improve taking in/out efficiency of a storage by searching an article capable of being preferentially taken in/out from the condition of the present stop positions of a moving shelves so as to output operating indication. ;CONSTITUTION: The condition of the stop position of a moving shelf 2 is taken in a taking in/out control device 6 of a storage from a moving shelf control device 3, and at receiving a taking in/out operation completion signal from a fork terminal 7, a taking in/out operating indication to minimize movement of respective moving shelves from the present stop positions is prepared by a control logic execution part 9. The taking in/out operating indication is transmitted from the taking in/out control device 6 to the fork terminal 7, and a carried-in article 1 is moved from a carried-in place to a prescribed moving shelf 2 through a fork lift 4 so as to receive it in the empty space, or an article 1 is taken out from the storage front of a moving shelf so as to move it to a forwarding place A.
