PURPOSE:To provide a new compound made up of specific curable group-bearing recurring unit, capable of giving cured resin films or cured products which are excellent in surface hardness and transparency, being low in cure shrinkage, causing no cracks and having high scratch resistance. CONSTITUTION:The compound having at least three recurring units of formula I [R1 is divalent aliphatic or aromatic group, etc.; X is of formula II, formula III (R2 is H or CH3; R3 is 1-2C straight chain or branched alkylene), etc.; Y is O, NH, etc.]. This compound can be obtained by reaction of a compound of formula IV (Z is halogen) with a compound of formula H-Y-R1-Y-H or formula Alk-O-1-O-Alk (Alk is alkali metal) pref. at 40-60 deg.C. It is recommended that the compound of the formula IV be prepared by reaction of hexachlorocyclophosphazene with either hydroxyalkyl (meth)acrylate such as 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate or a compound corresponding to a group of the formula II or III such as (meth)acrylamide.
