QUICK PROLIFERATION OF LARGE AMOUNT OF PLANT OF FAMILY RUTACEAE

PURPOSE: To enable the proliferation of a plant of the family Rutaceae in a short time in high efficiency by preparing an undifferentiated proliferation culture cell of a plant of the family Rutaceae having somatic cell embryogenetic capability by the culture in a liquid medium, aseptically and forcedly drying the obtained undifferentiated proliferation culture cell on a solid medium and inducing a somatic cell embryo by cultivation. ;CONSTITUTION: An undifferentiated proliferation culture cell of a plant of the family Rutaceae having somatic cell embryogenetic capability is cultured to induce a somatic cell embryo. In the above process for the proliferation of a plant of the family Rutaceae, a cell of a plant of the family Rutaceae (e.g. sweet orange) having somatic cell embryogenetic capability is cultured in a liquid medium containing a phytohormone (e.g. kinetin) to suppress the somatic cell embryogenesis, the obtained undifferentiated proliferation culture cell having somatic cell embryogenetic capability is spread on a solid medium free from the phytohormone and the surfaces of the undifferentiated proliferation culture cell and the solid medium are aseptically dried by aseptic forced drying.
