PURPOSE: To obtain a numerical solution at a high even when the number of grid points in the (i) direction is an odd number by discriminating whether a value obtd. by subtracting one from the number of grid point M1 in the (i) direction is an odd number of even number and grouping the grid positions. ;CONSTITUTION: In the hyperplane method, when M1-1 is an even number, the contention of memory of accesses is generated. With a discriminating means, whether or not the value obtdo by subtracting one from the number of grid point M1 in the (i) direction is odd number or even number is discriminated. Based on the result of the discrimination, when the (M1-1) is an odd number, the vector elements in the grid position where the sum (i+j) of a grid number (i) in the (i) direction and a grid number (j) in the (j) direction become the same value are simultaneously and parallelly calculated. When the (Mj-1) is an even number, the vector elements in the grid position where value of (i+2j) or (2i+j) become the same value are simultaneously and parallelly calculated. Thus, the interval of access to a memory is always odd number and no access contention is generated.
