SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATION OF INQUIRY FORMULA OF RELATIONAL DATABASE BY USING GRAPHIC TREE STRUCTURE REPRESENTATION

PURPOSE: To provide a system, program, and method which graphically express a WHERE clause or a HAVING clause of an SQL liquiry to a relation-typed data base. CONSTITUTION: Logical operators are defined in a tree structure form and are connected to predicates. A tree is not a binary by characters, and as a result, predicates and leaves of the tree shown 1:1 relations. This tree structure expression provides a user, who defines the inquiry, with intuitive feedback. Preferably, the inquiry in the SQL(structured query language) form and that in the tree structure graphic form simultaneously sppear on the display device of a computer system used for definition of the inquiry.
