PURPOSE: To use a bug filter connected to an exhaust gas cooling tower for a long term without trouble. ;CONSTITUTION: A gain correction part 30 corrects the gain of a controller 31 in accordance with a negative/positive deviation between the exhaust gas exit temperature To of a cooling tower 3 and a set point Ts. The gain when the deviation En is positive is made larger than the gain at the time of negative, and the reduction speed of spray water quantity is set to be larger than increase speed so as to prevent the humidification of the bug filter. A gain correction part 25 corrects the gain of the controller 31 in accordance with the value of an opening signal MV given to the flow rate adjustment valve connected to the return duct of the spray nozzle of a spray device 10.
