SUPERCHARGING SYSTEM OF DIESEL ENGINE WITH SUPERCHARGER

摘要

PURPOSE: To provide the supercharging system of a diesel engine with a supercharger which improves engine performance through improvement of apparent supercharger efficiency and reduces the generation of NO_x through combustion in an engine owing to lowering of the temperature of scavenging air. ;CONSTITUTION: Air delivered from the compressor 4 of a supercharger and flowing through an air cooler 5 is fed to an expander turbine 6. An air temperature is reduced through expansion and the air is fed to a main engine 1. After outside air is sucked in and compressed by an expander compressor 7 directly coupled to the expander turbine 6 for drive, the outside air is guided to the compressor 4 of the supercharger.
