METHOD FOR DIVIDED DELIVERY OF FEMALE AND MALE OF LIVESTOCK AND TREATING AGENT USED THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To provide divided delivery of female and male of livestock with a high probability by treating an ovum or a spermatozoon in an external fertilization method with a solution of a basic amino acid. CONSTITUTION:An ovum or a spermatozoon in an external fertilization method is treated with a solution of a basic amino acid (arginine, lysine, ornithine or citrulline). This solution is prepared by blending the basic amino acid with a diluted semen liquid or a physiologically saline solution, etc. When it is desirable to preferentially obtain female livestock, the solution concentration is increased to, e.g. about 7-20%. When it is desirable to preferentially obtain male livestock, the solution concentration is reduced to 1-6%.
