PURPOSE:To obtain an identity discrimination card in which a signature indicated thereon is hard to interpolate, whether the signature is a genuine writing of a card possessor can be easily and positively judged, and the possessor can be easily and positively identified, and to obtain an identity confirmation method. CONSTITUTION:Resin layers 3, 3' adhere to a part of a surface of a card substrate 2. The resin layers 3, 3' are engraved with a signature, a portrait, and other items by an image engraving machine. In this manner, a credit card 1 with a signature figure 4 and a portrait figure 5 clearly indicated is obtained.
