PURPOSE: To provide the method for producing a nonaging soft original sheet for vessel by ultra-compact continuous annealing equipment in accordance with rapid heating and rapid cooling. ;CONSTITUTION: A slab contg. 0.0005 to.00025% C, 0.05 to 0.8% Mn, 0.01% S, 0.01 to 0.1% Al and 0.008% N, in which the relationship between Ti content and nitrogen content satisfies 3.43 (N[%)-0.0005)Ti(%)3.43N(%)+0.006, and the balance iron with inevitable impurities is heated and rolled under ordinary hot rolling conditions. The coiled hot rolled sheet is pickled, is thereafter cold- rolled and is heated to 600 to 900°C at 200 to 1500°C/sec average heating rate by continuous annealing. Within 3sec after that, forced cooling is started, and it is cooled to ≤20O°C at ≥l00°C/sec average cooling rate and is thereafter subjected to skinpass rolling.
